We are convinced that protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors is essential to our activities. Personal data from customers and visitors is therefore handled and secured with the greatest possible care. We comply with the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other privacy legislation.
The controller for data processing is Mr. D. Tiems, BigBase, Zaanstraat 18, Geleen. In accordance with legislation, personal data processing has, where necessary, been reported to the supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Processing of personal data
As part of our services, we record data only after explicit consent. This may happen when you subscribe to a publication or newsletter, attend a conference or training, order a publication, use our interactive services, have an online customer account, indicate your interests, otherwise express your interest, or otherwise contact us. We only store data that we actually need for proper business operations, such as contact details, payment details, invoice details, ordered products, job information and/or stated interests.
We use this data to perform and handle the relevant agreement, for other services and internal business operations, and to keep customers informed about our new products and services and those of group companies. Your data is never made available to third parties without consent.
We provide a list of subprocessors with whom we have entered into an agreement for access to necessary data.
Your email address
If you have provided your email address, for example to receive a newsletter, it may be used to inform you as a customer about relevant and interesting similar products and services. If you no longer wish to receive this, you can unsubscribe at any time.
It is also possible that you have agreed that your email address may be used to occasionally receive relevant information about products, offers, and promotions from us or other companies. These companies are carefully selected by us.
Unsubscribing
In our services and communications, we take your preferences into account. In many cases, we give you the option to indicate these preferences yourself, for example on your own interest page or account. If you want to change how we use your data, or if you want to be fully removed from our records, you can always notify us via our contact form.
Access and correction of your data
You can access the personal information we hold about you. If the information is incorrect, you can request that it be adjusted. Requests for access to or correction of your data can be sent directly to us via the email address on our contact page. You can also use this address for questions about how we handle your data.
Click behavior and IP address
General visitor data is recorded on our websites without identifying visitors. The purpose is to optimize the layout and performance of the website. This data may also be used to place more targeted information on the site. In this way, we can further optimize our services for you. To do this, we only use anonymous, non-identifiable information unless you have explicitly given consent. Your IP address is therefore never used without your consent.
We use Google Analytics to keep statistics. We have concluded a processing agreement with Google. Google will not use the data to identify or track you individually as a visitor. We have indicated to Google that your data may not be used by third parties. All data is exchanged in encrypted form and processed fully anonymously.
